Monday, 23rd  March 2015 – the fifth day of our stay in Kayseri

The day started with workshops in the centre of education “Kayseri-Melikgazi HALK EGITIMI MERKEZI VE AKSAM SANAT OKULU”. The topic of the workshops was “Interactive use of iPads in school” and they were conducted by Mr Tahir Battal. We learned how the government of |Turkey raises the level of education in schools by delivering equipment and software created in cooperation with teachers. The teacher introduced the methods of work with students and the ways of control of the level of the gained knowledge. The workshops resulted in the exchange of the experience in work with the mobile tools and definition of the direction of the development of the new methods of teaching in Turkey and Poland. We learned about the principles of operation and practical use of programs Antropi and StarBoard. On this day we also had a pleasure to visit Sosyal Bilimer High School, which is a recognized educational unit. The school offers a high level of IT equipment, the students get very good results in education.  We could take part in lessons with the use of interactive boards, which enabled us to compare the ways of giving classes and maintaining free conversations among teachers and students. The headmaster of the school showed us around and later, in the conference room, there was a meeting with the school staff. We had an interesting conversation, together we discussed the similarities and differences between our schools and methods of work with students.
