Tuesday,  24th  March 2015 – the sixth day of  our stay in Kayseri.

The day started with  workshops called “ Practical use of iPads – the use of iPads in education” conducted by Mr Fuat Catalkaya. We got to know the tools for creating educational contents used by the Turkish teachers and the specially prepared for those aims portal EBA. Thanks to this portal the teachers share the prepared educational materials. We exchanged experiences connected with the use of educational platform Moodle in education. We also discussed the effects of distant learning and the opportunities for self-learning created by the systems of education in our countries. Supervised by the lecturer, we did lots of exercises using the educational platform and interactive board.

On this day we also visited Visiting High school, the equivalent of our secondary school of general education. The headmaster showed us round the school. We were highly impressed by the school library and the system obligatory in the dormitory. Together with the staff we drank  delicious tea. The students presented their skills, talked about their projects not only EU ones but also those performed during extra classes. We were asked to participate in the lesson with the use of an interactive board. We saw a different way of conducting classes. The form of a free dialogue between the students and the teacher. In this way a great relation between the master and the pupil is born.
